Chamomile is grown along the Nile River Delta in Egypt. The flowers are recognized by a yellow center and white petal. The essential oil in the flower produces a soothing pleasant aroma with a fruity character. Chamomile has a slightly bitter taste offset by a mild fruity flavor. Known as an all round comforter, it is gentle and caressing. It is often used for relief of health problems ranging from headaches to nervousness and is a natural herb known to assist the restless and those suffering from insomnia.
